Everyone has a cell phone these days. Now the deal is trying to find the best cell phone that can blow your friends away. Here is a collection of phones that we found that were pretty out of the ordinary.

It has two touch screens and includes a traditional candy bar style format, and the other is a flexible OLED that stiffens with a low voltage charge when you unfurl it.

The Moto Concept


While some companies are creating smaller phones that fit almost into anything the Joesph Liang moto phone goes for concept over compact. This cute little bugger is bulky, but I bet the kids will love it.

Pomegranate Phone


This phone might not turn out to be to popular, but you never know. It is a very odd concept for a cell phone. It includes gps navigation, global voice translator, a mp3 playback, camera/video, a movie protector, and get this a razor, harmonica, coffee brewer. I looked and looked and I’m still not sure how they will stuff that into this little gadget, but who knows.

Haier Pen Cell Phone


I don’t think you can get much smaller than this! You will look like James Bond when you use this handy phone if it ever makes it out of conception. It will include a usb slot, a microSD card slot, and comes with ear pieces and has a bluetooh as well.

NEC Tag Phone


It wraps around your wrist. The material is called shape-memorizing and it is supposed to be able to change its shape and still act as a phone. I know that the flexible keyboards that roll up to go with your laptop didn’t work out so well, I hope that these will.

Nokia Morph


This little phone is a collaboration with the University of Cambridge, Nanoscience Center(UK) and Nokia. It can become a tablet pc, a wrist band, or just a simple phone. It can be morphed into 3 modes that include standard, bracelet, and landscape. Standard is a normal phone type of position. The Bracelet mode means you can use it as a bracelet and still have video chats. The landscape mode can be used as a tablet PC. The entire surface becomes a touch screen where you can watch movies, and check mail.

Finger Touching


This is another wearable cell phone and anyone can communicate with It is easier and lighter in mobile circumstances corresponding to the 3.5G, 4G communication standard


It uses the instinctive input method “finger joint”. Excluding the thumb, each finger joint makes up twelve buttons, with “the knuckle button”, using the cell phone’s 3X4 keypad, likely being the most popular input method.

Handphone Cell


This odd phone is attached to your hand, and the mic is were your extended pinky is and you would listen with your thumb. Odd, weird, and well sorta ugly.

Now you see it Now you Don’t.


That is what this phone should have been named. Clear phones are the wave of the future and this is just one of the hundreds hitting the markets. Not much more information about this cell phone, but when they do I’m sure we will all love to have one.


The window phone gives you a lot of options and includes telling you the weather, a slick see through design.


When you blow on it, you go into text mode. How neat is that.

Palm Peak – Sprint 4G Design thinnest sliding phone

The iPhone 4 and Palm Pre met half way and the Palm Peak concept was born with the aid of designer Steve Lipson.

Palm Peak is supposed to be the thinnest sliding phone, with a mere 10mm thickness level. The handset is made from a block of brushed aluminum alloy, making the Peak a very resilient and elegant piece of machinery and also avoiding any possible signal issues. The display on board is a LED IPS one with a 3.8 inch diagonal and a 960 x 640 pixel resolution.



At the back there’s a 5MP camera with LED flash and support for 720p HD video capture. Palm Peak’s battery provides 45 hours of audio and 11 hours of video playback with a single charge. This is a webOS 2.0 device we’re dealing with, one that comes with a Swype keyboard, 4G WiMAX and 3G EVDO support.

There’s even a price tag imagined for the device, but remember that THIS IS NOT A REAL PHONE! Only a design, concept, whatever…

Tonino Lamborghini Spyder Series Luxury Mobile Phones

Vertu led the way in pre-economic collapse phones, boasting precious materials and Swiss watch precision. Italian luxury automakers have adopted such phones as marketing symbols, and the latest product to enter this “market” is the Tonino Lamborghini Spyder Mobile. Constructed with a 16L stainless steel skeleton, a sapphire crystal screen, and a crocodile leather back, the five versions of the phone incorporate a variety of finishes,

including DLC (diamond-like coating), and gold. Utility is clearly not the point of these look-at-me symbols, which are in no small part a Lamborghini marketing campaign (if in fact they are anything else at all). The Lamborghini phone may not support apps, but it does match a skeletonized tourbillon; one feature the phone does have is a hidden “SOS” button, which suggests the phone can be used to summon private security teams in case of yacht-jacking or similar emergencies. This phone is squarely aimed at the Asia-Pacific market, where Lamborghini sales have defied the economic slump (sales in China alone surged 200% in the first half of 2010). via: Think Silly.

Nokia 2030 Cell Phone Concept designed - illuminated touch keypad

Nokia cellphone concept designed of 2030, in case you wanted a taste of the future… Created by Jim Chan, the Nokia 2030 features a scratch-resistant finished body, plus a full color display and an illuminated touch keypad.

Fast messaging is the purpose of this unit and we learn that the phone measures 2 x 4.75 x 0.25 inches and attaches colored films at the rear, to change its color. Polished titanium is the choice of metal for the case area that protects the screen. This handset looks like some sort of futuristic key card that grants access to a high tech facility and we bet it’ll have e-wallet features and a transparent UI.

P.C.O.D – The Future Phone Concept

One small device on your wrist helps do away with the load of carrying multiple devices. It is called the P.C.O.D – Personal Communications and Organization Device.The P.C.O.D by Karl Thompson is an ultralight device which looks like a phone, but its capability surpasses that of any other mobile phone available today. It is a concept future phone that is loaded with so many features that you may lose count of them. The wonder device brings together devices like camera, storage, mp3 player, GPS, games, time/date/calendar and much, much more.

It has an amazing battery life which supports 24 hours of talk time (with video and stills) and standby time of 500 hours. The rechargeable battery connects and recharges wirelessly. It is a futuristic device and has tried to keep together a host of devices and applications people generally wish to use off and on. Along with the usage, it has also tried to give a little care to Mother Nature. Packaging is minimal and that too is 100 percent recycled material. The first step of conceptualizing has been taken. The next would be to bring it into production. Once available it is going to be one among the most desired devices list.
